Hobert Hunter, 68

Hobert "Hobie" L. Hunter, 68, passed away in the comfort of his home in Arlee on May 2, 2024.

He was born in St. Ignatius on Dec. 30, 1955, to Chuck and Eldena Hunter. Hobert spent his youth on the Flathead Indian Reservation and attended school in St. Ignatius.

In 1974, Hobert entered the armed services. After his time in the services was over he worked road construction and firefighting. He enjoyed playing slot machines, cribbage and sports. His favorite team was the Green Bay Packers.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Eldena and Chuck Hunter; sister LeAnn Hunter Matt; brothers Gordon Hunter and Ron Hunter; and five nephews, Steve, Bonner, John, Francis and Matt.

He is survived by his brother, Ken (Susie) Hunter; sister Char Hunter; nieces and nephews Charles, Jericho and Michael (Hannah) Graham, Joseph Hunter, Steven, Shade, Kanyon and Brittany (Eli) Shaw, and many grand nephews. Siblings: Michelle Matt (Anna, Jon Jon) Susie (Frank) Stanger, and many others.
