Polson Pirates stage comeback to defeat Ronan
Polson came back against valley rival Ronan in a 12-4 West Division victory on Tuesday, April 30, in Ronan. It was Senior Night for the Chiefs, who will graduate a half dozen seniors from their inaugural season baseball program: Cash Atkinson, Dante Baltz, WilJames Courville, DaVonne Curley, Tristan Fisher and Coleton Sherman.
Ronan led 3-2 after three innings of play, but Polson outscored the Chiefs 10-1 in the next four innings. Cole Wadsworth led the Pirates with two hits, two RBIs, and a double.
For the Chiefs, Tristan Fisher had two hits and three RBI.
Wyatt Wadsworth pitched the final two innings for the Pirates, allowing no hits, while Landon Shoemake started the game for Polson and pitched five innings, striking out eight.
Liam Willis started the game for the Chiefs, going five and two-thirds innings and striking out six. Ronan showcased impressive improvement by the Chiefs, who were 10-run-ruled in their first clash back at the end of March. This time around, the game went the distance.

Fisher and Wadsworth homer in Polson victory
Espn Fisher and Wyatt Wadsworth homered as Polson picked up a big 14-0 West Division victory over Eureka on Monday, April 29. The Pirates held the Lions to just two hits while collecting 11 of their own in the win.
Polson led 3-0 after three innings, adding another run in the fourth and then exploding for 10 runs in the sixth. Fisher finished 3-for-4 with three RBI, while Wyatt Wadsworth was 2-for-5 with a double. Cole Wadsworth also had two hits and two doubles, along with four RBIs.
George Wyman pitched the first four innings for the Pirates, allowing just two hits and striking out two.

Ronan thumps Browning
Ronan scored 12 runs in the first inning of its 22-1 victory over Browning in West Division action on Thursday, May 2. The game lasted three innings and the Chiefs were able to notch their runs off of seven team hits, while Browning had just two hits.
Cash Atkinson started the game for Ronan, striking out three batters; Baylan Hess pitched the final two innings, striking out four and allowing just one hit.
DaVonne Curley was 2-for-3 with four RBI in the game, while Coleton Sherman had a triple. Cash Atkinson drove in three runs, while Damien Hess had two hits and two RBI.

Noxon defeats Mission-Arlee
Noxon posted five runs in the third inning and held on for a 6-5 victory over Mission-Arlee in baseball action on Thursday, May 2. Jake Helser pitched five and two-thirds innings, allowing just one earned run while striking out seven.
Mission-Arlee, however, committed four errors in a close contest.
Jason Leishman, Brody Brown, Helser and Jorden Johnston all drove in runs for the Bulldogs.

Nine-run rally puts Polson on top
After a scoreless four innings, Polson broke things open with a four-run rally in the top of the fifth and a five-run rally in the top of the seventh for a 9-2 victory over West Division foe Frenchtown.
Espn Fisher pitched six innings for the Pirates, giving up just two hits while striking out 11.
In the top of the fifth, two errors led to runs, Frenchtown walked in another and Cody Haggard stole home to put Polson ahead 4-1. In the seventh inning, Hunter Emerson singles to drive in two runs and Holden Emerson smacked a three-run home run. Cole Wadsworth closed out the game in the final inning, striking out one.
Polson improved to 12-3 with the victory.

Ronan got a big home run from Tristan Fisher in the fourth inning in an 11-2 West Division victory over Bigfork on Saturday, May 4. The Chiefs finished with 14 hits in the game, while Bigfork was held to just one hit.
Ronan led 5-2 after three innings and then scored three runs in the fourth and three in the sixth. Hunter Luedtke, DaVonne Curley, Treysin Sinclair and Liam Wills each finished with multiple hits. Fisher finished with three RBI, while Wills and Cash Atkinson each drove in two runs. Wills and Atkinson each had doubles.
Ronan improved to 6-9 on the season.

Mission-Arlee falls to Frenchtown
Mission-Arlee was held to two hits in a 16-0 loss to Frenchtown on Saturday, May 4. Brody Brown and Kile Gowen were the two players that had hits against the Broncs' pitching.
Frenchtown finished with 11 hits. Mission Arlee fell to 3-9 on the season with the loss.
