Jeremy Phillippi

| May 13, 2024 12:00 AM

Jeremy West Phillippi of Charlo/Ronan passed away March 22, 2024.

Jeremy was born Dec. 17, 1985, in Missoula. Nine months later he was placed in the home of Dale and Linda Phillippi for adoption. He grew up in the family home in Charlo. He attended Charlo School, Mission Valley Christian Academy, and then graduated from high school at the Montana Youth Challenge Academy in Dillon. He went on to study small engine repair at Missoula COT.

He also attended training in carpentry through Montana Job Corps where he found his love of woodworking. Those skills served him well in his remaining years as he eventually started his own business of home repair with "Home Fix 406" in Great Falls, then the Mission Valley. He also worked at Rocky Mountain Twist prior to his death.

He loved outdoor life, spending lots of time in the mountains and by the river. Hunting season was his favorite time of year. He also enjoyed selling fireworks in his booth every 4th of July. His final gift to his mother was finishing a shed into a full art studio for Linda. She also inherited his beautiful rescue boxer Tucker.

He had a heart of gold bigger than Montana for anyone who needed help with whatever he could help with, with no hesitation. His greatest love was for his children, Joshua Dale Phillippi, Emma Jean Phillippi and Autumn Rose Phillippi.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Juanita and Harvey Sullivan and Betty and Wilbur Phillippi. He is survived by his parents, Linda and Dale Phillippi, brother Travis Phillippi (Esther) of Charlo, and his sister, Calli Shanahan of Great Falls, along with numerous nephews, nieces, aunts and uncles.

He also leaves behind his birth mother Sherry VonBartheld (Dale) and her family from Gadsden, Ala., who he was fortunate to reunite with in his later years.

A celebration of life will be held at Palmer Park beginning at 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 25, in Charlo. Bring a dish of your choosing, your own chairs, and beverages. An after-gathering will be held at the Branding Iron in Charlo.

In lieu of floral arrangements, Linda and Dale are requesting plants or potted flowers to plant in the lovely flower bed that Jeremy built for them. It will be his memorial garden. A selection to choose from will be available at Bev's Bloomers in Ronan or you can pick something from her greenhouse or another nursery of your choosing.
