NOTICE FOR PUBLIC HEARING LAKE COUNTY NEEDS ASSESSMENT AND UPDATES TO COUNTY GROWTH POLICY IMPLEMENTATION PLAN The Lake County Commissioners will hold a public hearing on Thursday, May 30, 2024 at 3:00 P.M. in the Commissioner’s Meeting Room at 106 4 th Avenue East, Polson, MT 59860, in conjunction with Mission West Community Development Partners (MWCDP). The purpose of hearing is to obtain public comments regarding the needs and priorities existing in Lake County for public facilities, infrastructure, affordable housing, economic development and other community revitalization efforts, and particularly as those needs affect low- and moderate-income persons. For those municipalities, sewer and/or water districts, and organizations considering applications for funding to the Montana Community Development Block Grant Program, this hearing may serve as the required “first public hearing” to assess and document project needs and are encouraged to promote attendance for such. In addition, the Lake County Commission will be using information gathered at this hearing to assist them in updating the 2018 Growth Policy, specifically addressing the Implementation Plan as presented in Chapter 9. The current plan is posted on the County’s website. Chapter 9 is posted with this notice on the home page at https://www.lakemt.gov. Consideration will be given to proposed changes and updates within the Implementation Plan and feedback received at this hearing will be used to prioritize specific projects and programs in that document that may need their support and consideration in the future.
