Polson defeats Mission-Arlee on Senior Night

It was Senior Night for Polson and the Pirates didn’t disappoint with a 15-0 victory on Saturday, May 9, over Mission-Arlee. In three innings of work, Polson had 10 hits as George Wyman pitched a one-hitter.

Polson scored five runs in the first inning, added another three in the second, and finished the game with a seven-run rally.

Hunter and Holden Emerson each drove in two runs, while Hunter had a two-hit game. Cole Wadsworth had a double in the game, while Landon Shoemake drove in two runs.

Jason Leishman had Mission-Arlee’s lone hit in the matchup.

Polson honored seniors Espn Fisher, Hunter Emerson, Zak Muzquiz, Aiden Gfroerer, and George Wyman.

Columbia Falls comes back against Polson

Columbia Falls scored five runs in the sixth inning to come back against Polson for the 9-6 West Division victory on Friday, May 10. The visiting Pirates had built a 6-4 lead after five innings, but the Wildkats shut the door in the top of the seventh for the victory.

Hunter Emerson drove in two runs, while Espn Fisher also had a double and an RBI. Cody Haggard added a triple for the Pirates’ hit total, which was seven hits as a team.

Polson committed seven errors in the matchup, which stymied a pitching performance by Wyatt Wadsworth, Cason Graham and Cody Haggard that struck out seven Columbia Falls batters.

Polson stymies Frenchtown

Polson got a gem on the mound by Cole Wadsworth and George Wyman while the offense powered the team to a 13-0 home victory against Frenchtown on Saturday, May 11.

Polson was keyed by a six-run second inning and had 10 hits as a team. Cole Wadsworth had two hits and drove in a run, while Noah Agliano, Espn Fisher, Wyatt Wadsworth, Brayson DuMont, Hunter Emerson, Holden Emerson, Zak Muzquiz and Aiden Gfroerer drove in runs as well.

Wyatt Wadsworth also doubled in the matchup.

Polson is now 14-4 on the season.
