Tomlin champion at Western C Divisional
Charlo’s Jacob Tomlin was a champion in the shot put (47-4) at the Western C Divisional Track Meet on Friday and Saturday, May 17-18, in Missoula.
Two Eagle’s Jabez Madplume was seventh in the 100-meter run (11.99), seventh in the 500-meter run (54.99), fifth in the 200-meter run (23.79) and eighth in the long jump (19-2).
Hayden Hollow placed fourth in the 400-meter run (53.74), eighth in the pole vault (10-0) and second in the 800-meter run (1:59.69) for Charlo, while teammate Hayden Smith was fourth in the 800-meter run (2:02.98), fourth in the 1,600-meter run (4:31.66) and third in the 3,200-meter run (10:43.37).
Charlo placed third in the 4x100-meter relay (47.05) and third in the 4x400 run (3:40.76), while Two Eagle was seventh in the 4x100 (47.99).
In field events, Charlo’s Ryan Sharbono was fourth in the shot put (44-10) and third in the discus (123-4). Teammate Connor Nittinger was fourth in the discus (121-00) and Tasker Brown was eighth (106-06).
Tomlin placed fourth in the javelin (150-0), while Charlo’s Tayre Brown was fifth in the pole vault (10-6).
On the girls’ side, Charlo’s Aida Cote was second in the 800-meter run (2:30.12) and eighth in the discus (94-01). Teammate Leah Cahoon was fourth in the high jump (4-8), while Elsie Detert was seventh in the 3,200-meter run (14:32.23). Abbigail Wagner was eighth for Charlo in the triple jump (27-5.5).
In the relays, Two Eagle River was eighth in the 4x100 (56.41) and Charlo was fifth in the 4x400 (4:42.65).
Several of these athletes will compete at the Class C State Meet, beginning May 24 in Great Falls.
