The Board of Lake County Commissioners will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, June 26, 2024 at 3 pm in the Office of the Lake County Commissioners, Room 211 of the Lake County Courthouse (virtual attendance via ZOOM is an option) on the following item: LAKESHORE PROTECTION REGULATIONS AMENDMENT On May 8, 2024, the Lake County Planning Board held a public hearing to review proposed amendments to the Lake County Lakeshore Protection Regulations. The amendments included section 2 for definitions, section 3.5 for violations, section 5.2 for general construction requirements, section 5.3(A) for docks, and section 5.3(D) for boat shelters and boat lifts.  The Planning Board recommended that the Board of Lake County Commissioners could adopt sections 2, and 3.5, not adopt changes in section 5.2 and recommended adopting modifications other than what staff proposed to sections 5.3(A) and 5.3(D).   The Board of Lake County Commissioners will review the Planning Board’s proposal with the Planning Board’s recommendation and the proposed amendments for conformance with the criteria for issuance of a permit found in 75-7-207, MCA, make any revisions or amendments determined necessary, and may pass a resolution of intention to adopt the amendments.
