NOTICE FOR PUBLIC HEARING LAKE COUNTY NEEDS ASSESSMENT AND UPDATES TO COUNTY GROWTH POLICY IMPLEMENTATION PLAN The Lake County Commissioners will hold a public hearing on Thursday, June 6, 2024 at 10:00 A.M. in the Commissioner’s Meeting Room at 106 4 th Avenue East, Polson, MT 59860, in conjunction with Mission West Community Development Partners (MWCDP). The purpose of hearing is to obtain public comments regarding the needs and priorities existing in Lake County for public facilities, infrastructure, affordable housing, economic development and other community revitalization efforts, and particularly as those needs affect low- and moderate-income persons. For those municipalities, sewer and/or water districts, and organizations considering applications for funding to the Montana Community Development Block Grant Program, this hearing may serve as the required “first public hearing” to assess and document project needs and are encouraged to promote attendance for such. In addition, the Lake County Commission will be using information gathered at this hearing to assist them in updating the 2018 Growth Policy, specifically addressing the Implementation Plan as presented in Chapter 9. The current plan is posted on the County’s website. Chapter 9 is posted with this notice on the home page at https://www.lakemt.gov. Consideration will be given to proposed changes and updates within the Implementation Plan and feedback received at this hearing will be used to prioritize specific projects and programs in that document that may need their support and consideration in the future. CORRECTION TO LEGAL NOTICE This is a correction to a previous legal notice to update the day of the meeting. The Board of Lake County Commissioners will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, June 26, 2024 at 3 pm in the Office of the Lake County Commissioners, Room 211 of the Lake County Courthouse (virtual attendance via ZOOM is an option) on the following item: LAKESHORE PROTECTION REGULATIONS AMENDMENT On May 8, 2024, the Lake County Planning Board held a public hearing to review proposed amendments to the Lake County Lakeshore Protection Regulations. The amendments included section 2 for definitions, section 3.5 for violations, section 5.2 for general construction requirements, section 5.3(A) for docks, and section 5.3(D) for boat shelters and boat lifts. The Planning Board recommended that the Board of Lake County Commissioners could adopt sections 2, and 3.5, not adopt changes in section 5.2 and recommended adopting modifications other than what staff proposed to sections 5.3(A) and 5.3(D). The Board of Lake County Commissioners will review the Planning Board’s proposal with the Planning Board’s recommendation and the proposed amendments for conformance with the criteria for issuance of a permit found in 75-7-207, MCA, make any revisions or amendments determined necessary, and may pass a resolution of intention to adopt the amendments. 2024 Mobile Home Taxes Due The first half of 2024 Mobile Home Taxes are due on or before 5:00 p.m. MST on May 31st. Tax payments made through the mail will be considered current if postmarked on or before 5:00 pm MST Many 31st, 2024. Payments postmarked after this date will be assessed penalty, interest and returned. Payments may be mailed to: LAKE COUNTY TREASURER, TAX DEPT. 106 4TH AVE EAST, POLSON MT 59860 ** Please include Tax ID or payment stub with your check. ** Currently due mobile home taxes may be paid on line at: WWW.LAKEMT.GOV There is a 3% convenience fee to pay by credit/debit card. Payments made online must be received by 5:00 pm MST of the due date. All past due taxes must be paid utilizing our office by calling 406-883-7224 or 406-883-7225.
