Nonprofits invited to submit trees to Holiday reTREEt
Lights Under the Big Sky – the annual lighting extravaganza at the Ronan Fairgrounds – is adding a new twist this year, with a Holiday reTREEt.
Lake County nonprofit organizations are invited to help create a holiday forest scene inside the Ronan Community Center during Lights Under the Big Sky, Dec. 13-14 and 20-21. Cash prizes will be awarded for the top three decorated trees that receive the most votes from the community, as expressed by tokens people will receive as they come through the ticket booth each night of the event.
First place tree will win $300, second place gets $200 and third place will receive $100. Holiday reTREEt entries are limited to one per nonprofit organization. Artificial or homemade trees must be under eight-feet tall, and have a good base of support, and decorations must not include electric parts.
Call Dana at 406-240-0640 for more information and to register entries by Dec. 1. Trees may be set up Friday, Dec. 12, at the community center and must be removed Dec. 22.
