Unborn babies deserve protection too
Here are a few facts about abortion:
“Fetus” is Latin for offspring. A fetus has a separate heart, brain and circulatory system. When a sperm and an egg unite, it contains all the genetic information (DNA) needed to become a fully developed human being – gender, eye color, hair color, and countless traits are already determined.
As of Oct. 16, 2024, providers in 10 U.S. states can legally perform abortions right up until birth. Montana restricts abortion at 24 weeks. Minors in Montana need no parental consent to get an abortion.
As of May 2024, the Lozier Institute reports abortions are performed for: rape and incest 0.4%; risk to woman’s life or major bodily function 0.3%; other physical health concerns 2.2%; abnormality in unborn baby 1.2%; for reasons of convenience 95.9%.
Planned Parenthood’s 2022-23 annual income report was nearly $2,100,000,000 with over $2,500,000,000 in net assets. The abortion industry is big business.
Abortion clinics never use the words “baby,” “fetus,” or “child.” Any information distributed make abortions appear quick and simple. There are no warnings about major risks and adverse effects, from hemorrhaging to uterine and cervix damage, infertility, and even death.

Regrets are common. One mother shares, “Please choose life. Adoption is the loving option. There are safe haven laws in all 50 states where you can surrender your child ... for every child aborted, there are 2 couples that would be ever so happy to have a child.”
Well over a million abortions were performed last year alone. Four states do not report.
In 2010, one group [of doctors] noted the earlier infants are delivered, the stronger their response to pain. Fetal surgeons recognize unborn babies as patients and administer adequate analgesia “to prevent suffering.”
In Roe v Wade, the Due Process Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment was used to justify that women have the right to privacy and an abortion; that is ironically the same clause that can be used to also protect the rights of unborn babies.
“No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.”
As advanced as today’s science and medical knowledge is, it is inconceivable that an unborn baby is not recognized as a human being and person deserving of equal protection of the law.
Life is sacred and precious. Having a child is not the end of life, career or opportunities. In fact, having a child is one of the greatest things that can ever happen to us. We are all much stronger and more resourceful than we know, and hard things cause us to dig deep and grow.
