Delaney wins Whitefish Invite, posts third at Mountain West

Polson’s Morgan Delaney won the Whitefish Invitational, posting a time of 19:15 on Tuesday, Sep. 24.

Mission’s Brooklyn Lieshman was 35th (25:13.57) while Polson’s Reese Adams was 36 and teammate Brittian Davis was 37th (25:53.31).

On the boys’ side David DiGiallonardo placed second for the Pirates (16:39.76). His teammate, Jackson Bontadelli, was seventh (17:03.03) and Mission’s Harlon Leishman was 12th (17:22.55).

Polson’s Wyatt Boogerd was 30th (19:00.02).

Delaney posts third place finish at Mountain West

In a race that featured large schools and some of the best runners in the west, Morgan Delaney placed third at Mountain West Classic for the Pirates, posting a time of 18:44.13. The annual event was held on Saturday, Sept. 28, at the University of Montana golf course in Missoula.

Delaney’s teammate, freshman Kimora Scott was 39th (20:15.40), while Mission’s Elsie Detert was 190th (22:34.85). Ronan’s Annie Adams was 246th (23:25.37).

Polson’s David DiGiallonardo placed 33rd at the Mountain West Classic with a time of 16:33.76. Fellow Pirate Jackson Bontadelli was 56th (16:59.46), while Mission’s Harlon Leishman was 80th (17:15.41) and Ronan’s Jacob Piapot was 122nd (17:42.97).
