Finley passes for four touchdowns in Ronan victory

Ronan picked up its second win of the year, defeating Stevensville 36-8 on Friday, Sept. 27, in Western A football action.

The Chiefs got four passing touchdowns from quarterback Kolby Finley, while Laurance Lozeau caught two touchdown passes and had a pick-six on defense.

Ronan jumped out to a 14-0 lead in the first quarter as Finley threw a five-yard touchdown pass to Siouxpism Qualtier and a six-yard touchdown pass to Lozeau. In the second quarter, Finley threw a two-yard scoring pass to Chad Higgins and then a 42-yard touchdown strike to Lozeau to give the Chiefs a 30-0 halftime lead.

After the half, Ronan’s lone score was a 28-yard interception ran back for a touchdown.

The Chiefs improved to 2-3, while Stevensville fell to 0-5.
