Harvest Fests – 4:30-7:30 p.m. at Oct. 2 at Kicking Horse Fitness Center south of Ronan and Oct. 9 at the St. Ignatius Fitness Center; CSKT Tribal Health events include health education, games, fresh local produce and dry meat, games and door prizes.

Beat the Drum Rally and Bingo for Breast Cancer Awareness – 5:30-7:30 p.m. Oct. 3 at the Sherri McDonald Hospitality Room at Salish Kootenai College in Pablo; event, hosted by CSKT Tribal Health, includes drumming by Two Eagle River students, bingo, prizes and a meal.

Polson Homecoming Parade – 2:30 p.m. Oct. 4 from Polson High School to Linderman Gym; parade precedes a Pirates football game against Stevensville at 7 p.m. and culminates a weeklong celebration of school spirit.

Butch Larcombe: Historic Tales of Flathead Lake – 6 p.m. Oct. 4 at the historic Big Arm School; author gives a presentation on his newest book in tandem with a dessert potluck. Call 406-849-5064 for details.

Senior Citizen’s Bake Sale and Yard Sale – 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Oct. 4-5 at the St. Ignatius Senior Citizen Center; browse household items, crafts and clothes, along with home-baked goodies. Lunch will be served at noon Oct. 4.

LSAR Appreciation Gathering – 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Oct. 5 at the Ronan City Park pavilion; help Life Savers Animal Rescue celebrate those who make their rescue mission possible with sandwiches and refreshments. Dogs are welcome!

Harvest Dinner – 4-6 p.m. Oct. 15 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church; order in advance and pick up a meal that includes Swedish meatballs and homemade lefse and other goodies. Proceeds benefit the Polson Boys and Girls Club and Cheerful Heart. Call 406-883-5864 to place a take-out order.

David Spear: Walk the Walk – Then and Now” – through Dec. 31 in the Three Woodcocks Fire Arts Building at Salish Kootenai College; Two Eagle River photography instructor and world-class photographer David Spear shares his work. The exhibit follows last summer's show by his students from 2001-2024, titled "Talk the Talk – Then and Now." The gallery is open 9 a.m.-5 p.m. weekdays.

Kiwanis – First Thursday of the month, noon at Kwataqnuk Resort, and third Thursday of the month, 5:30 p.m. at Bunkers, Polson Bay Golf Course; Kiwanis is an international organization dedicated to improving the world one child, one community at a time. Meetings are open to the public.

Cheerful Heart Cancer Support Group – noon-1 p.m. on the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month in the chapel at St. Joseph Medical Center; anyone affected by cancer is invited to participate in this group led by Matthew Connally of the Ronan/Polson Nazarene Church.
