Wildcats blast past Polson

Columbia Falls attacked through the air and defeated Polson 42-0 in Western A football action on Friday, Sept. 27. While the Pirates kept the Wildcats’ running game in check – 50 yards on 27 carries – Columbia Falls’ quarterback Banyan Johnson went 27-for-30, passing for 309 yards.

Through the first quarter, Columbia Falls led 7-0 but then exploded for three touchdowns in the second quarter for a 28-0 halftime lead.

Pirate Daniel O’Roake rushed 15 times for 111 yards, while Holden Emerson had seven carries for 22 yards.

On defense, Jarett Seifert had seven solo tackles and 10 total, while Jack Sherry had eight tackles, including five solo.

Polson fell to 3-2 on the year, while Columbia Falls improved to 3-2.
