Charlo battles at Mineral County Tournament

Charlo battled plenty of teams at the Mineral County Tournament on Saturday, Oct. 12 - reaching the championship match.

Against St. Regis, Charlo won 24 points to the Lady Tigers’ 20 on Saturday, Oct. 12.

Bryanne Zempel had 11 assists, while Maizey McDonald had five digs.

The Lady Vikings were able to notch 30 points to Mission’s 20 points. Leah Cahoon had four kills, while Brielle Zempel had five sets and three digs. Leah Cahoon also had four digs and two blocks.

Hot Springs outscored Charlo 27-26 despite four kills and five digs from Leah. Bryanne Zempel also had five digs as did Leah Cahoon.

In a nailbiter against Granite in the tournament championship game, Charlo and Granite faced off to a X-X score. Leah had three kills, while GG Hawk also had three kills. Bryanne Zempel had 17 digs and three assists.

For the tournament as a whole, Leah Cahoon had 20 kills and 21 digs, while Zempel had 36 assists and 33 digs, while Maizey McDonald had 28 digs. Leah Cahoon also had five blocks.
