Endorses Azzopardi for House District 13
It is my pleasure to write this letter in strong support of Shirley Azzopardi for HD 13.
Shirley is currently the Mental Health Coordinator for Early Childhood Services with the Confederated Salish Kootenai Tribes. I taught with Shirley during her tenure at St. Ignatius Schools.
Shirley's relevant skills of communication and open discussion will enable her to tactfully problem-solve important issues bringing them to successful resolutions concerning taxes, public education, and health care.
As a teacher, Shirley works hard to ensure all children have the right to the best education. She will strive to protect public school funding.
Shirley is opposed to spending your tax dollars to fund private charter schools. If funding is reduced to support private charter schools, it would negatively impact our small communities where alternatives are not readily available.
Shirley is an advocate of protecting health care and our right to privacy. She will fight to protect all Montanans. Montana Republicans favor a complete ban on abortion, no exceptions. A Montana woman's right to reproductive freedom, and the right to privacy are written in Article II, Section 4 of the Montana Constitution.
Property taxes have risen. The Department of Revenue wanted the taxable value rate lowered from 1.35% to 0.94% for residential property. The Republican supermajority in the legislature and our Republican governor did nothing. Shirley will strive to end the Republican supermajority’s irresponsible tactics concerning taxes.
In summary, Shirley Azzopardi is an excellent candidate for House District 13. If elected, she will execute a positivity and acuteness that highlight her powerful negotiation skills. Shirley will work hard to give voice to families and children for public education.
Shirley will also protect our fundamental rights to privacy for our health care without governmental interference. I highly endorse her.
