Polson leveled Frenchtown 5-1 in an important South A Conference victory on Saturday, Oct. 12 that let them settle in the No. 3 seed in the upcoming playoffs.

The Pirates jumped out to a 2-0 lead as Edgar Vejez-Pete recovered a blocked Cruz corner kick and put it past the keeper in the 14th minute. Then, four minutes later, Tedd Mausshardt found the back of the net by outracing defenders after a pass from Roman Sawyer.

After halftime, Frenchtown scored in the 41st minute to make the game 2-1. Pete scored again unassisted in the 59th minute, while Dion Lichtenberg scored unassisted in the 64th minute. Just before stoppage time, Ruger Ellis dribbled the ball up the left flank in the final official minute and buried a clear shot into the back of Frenchtown’s net.
