Ronan football falls to undefeated Frenchtown

Ronan fell to 3-4 on the year, falling to undefeated Frenchtown 48-12 in Northwest A Conference football action on Friday, Oct. 11.

Kolby Finley had a pair of touchdowns in the fourth quarter, running the ball in on a QB-keeper from a yard out and throwing a touchdown pass to Chad Higgins.

Finley passed for 75 yards and rushed for another 56 on the ground - including a long run of 41 yards.

The Chiefs trailed 6-0 in the first quarter, but Frenchtown scored 28 points in the second quarter. The 7-0 Broncs led 34-0 at halftime but only scored two touchdowns in the second half.

Laurance Lozeau led the team with seven tackles and two assists on defense, Siouxpixm Qualtier had four tackles and an assist.

The previous week, Ronan had defeated Browning 24-0.

Charlo drops matchup against Superior

Charlo dropped a Western 7B matchup against Superior 60-12 on Friday, October 11. The Vikings remain winless on the season but had a couple of second-half highlights.

Karsen Cox had a fumble recovery, and he scooped and scored in the third quarter. In the fourth, Cox had a 16-yard touchdown pass to Kenyan DuMont.

Superior improved to 4-2 and has the highest-scoring offense in the league.
