Azzopardi advocates fiscal responsibility

| October 24, 2024 12:00 AM

For those living in HD 13, know who and why you are voting for Shirley Azzopardi.

Presently she is Mental Health Coordinator for Early Childhood Services at CSKT.  She is a graduate of the University of Montana, taught special education for 30 years in public schools and was/is an advocate for children and families. She believes public education is the foundation of our democracy and all children deserve a quality public education.

She will be an effective legislator because she understands the demands Montana families face.  She believes in adequately funding public education and that all children deserve a quality public education.

She believes in reducing the residential property tax rate to .94%, increasing property taxes of large corporations and stopping the undervaluation of business properties.

In 2022 Dept. of Revenue told Governor Gianforte to reduce taxable value rate from 1.35% to .94% and you all know he did not do so. Instead he relied on a payoff he gave to property owners as fair compensation, or was he buying Gianforte votes?

Shirley will fairly represent all parties in HD 13, she has the knowledge to do so regarding taxes, funding public schools, healthcare and protecting Montana’s Constitutional Right to Privacy. She is supportive of Medicaid and believes in supporting mental health care.

One last comment: the Montana Free Press election guide (where I gathered most of this information) says Shirley Azzopardi wants fiscal responsibility regarding passing unconstitutional laws and wasting our tax dollars on legal fees. A vote for Shirley will be your vote for fiscal responsibility in putting your tax dollars into the hands of one who will attempt to protect them.
