Levi Scott, 42

| October 24, 2024 12:00 AM

Levi James Scott, age 42 of Polson, passed away at his home on Aug. 26. Levi was born Jan. 14, 1982, in Missoula to Charlie and Barb Scott of Polson.

Levi went to school in Polson and during his junior year of high school he participated in basic training and after he graduated became a part of the Army Reserves and was extremely proud of this accomplishment.

Levi had many great accomplishments in his life but the biggest and the one he was the proudest of was his son, Brayden. He was always eager to brag about his son’s lawn-care business or always glowed when he told anyone who would listen what an amazing man Brayden had grown up to be.

He was always excited and loved to tell anyone who would listen of his and Brayden's adventures of hiking, fishing, camping, or just hanging out around the fire cooking out with his family and close friends. More times than not, that included Cody Alman, his best friend from childhood, and later in life his girlfriend, Katie Furlong, and her two children, Maddy and Allen Curtin.

Levi’s second biggest accomplishment was working for Montana Ace Power Pros as the shop manager and small engine mechanic for more than 20 years where he excelled at what he did. He considered his friends at Ace his second family whether they worked for him or with him, or whether they were a customer.

Levi’s knack for mechanics didn’t just stop with small engine mechanics. He had a passion for rebuilding and restoring old vehicles and greatly enjoyed the time he spent doing this with his older brother, Ryan Scott. He never missed an opportunity to try to drive his old truck. This is a love he shared with many of his friends but was always happy to tell of the many hours he spent in the garage with all of his friends, especially Steve Fouty.

Levi saw the good and gold in everybody and always tried to help where he could. No matter what kind of day he was having, he always tried to have a smile on his face.

Levi is survived in death by his parents Charlie and Barb Scott, whom he loved very much; his grandma, Pat Johnson; his son, Brayden Scott; brother Ryan Scott and his girlfriend, Lynn; his aunts Sam, Kay and Sandy; and his girlfriend, Katie Furlong, and her two children Maddy and Allen Curtin; as well as his dog, Goose, and his two cats.

He is preceded in death by his grandma, Virginia, and her husband; his brother, Kristopher; and his grandfather, Howard Johnson.

He will never know how much he is loved and missed!
