Whitefish air attack swamps Pirates; Chiefs down Park

Polson faced a Whitefish air attack on Friday, October 18, which proved effective in a 38-10 Northwest A Conference road battle.

Whitefish QB Carson Gulick threw three touchdowns on 15-of-20 passing for 172 yards.

The Pirates scored first in the matchup, and Holden Emerson ran the ball from ten years out in the first quarter. Whitefish tied the game up in the same stanza, but Polson answered in the second quarter with a 31-yard field goal by Lucian Sawyer.

Whitefish scored two touchdowns, which gave them a 21-10 lead, and then scored two more touchdowns in the third quarter.

The loss dropped Polson to 4-3 on the season. The Pirates will have to win at Hamilton next week to keep a Class A playoff berth alive.

Chiefs Down Park 48-12

Ronan moved back to .500 on the season with a 48-12 victory over Park on Friday, Oct. 18. The Chiefs built a 20-6 halftime lead, and then the offense continued to hum in the second half, scoring two touchdowns apiece in the third and fourth quarters.

The Chiefs improved to 4-4, while Park fell to 1-6. The Chiefs have won three of their last four games.
