PEO chapter donates clothing to local schools

As the holiday season approaches, the local CA chapter of PEO (Philanthropic Educational Organization) again decided to forgo exchanging gifts with each other at Christmas and instead, donate money for clothing items for students at Cherry Valley and Linderman schools in Polson.
Nurses and guidance counselors from the schools were asked to generate a list of sizes and items. Ramona Mahoney and Janice Donovan shopped for clothing, boots, underwear, gloves and hats that will again be helpful for school personnel in meeting their students’ needs. Members contributed more than $900 to the effort.
PEO is a national women’s organization whose primary mission is providing opportunities for women’s educational needs.
