Deer Lodge survives Mission volleyball

The Lady Bulldogs dropped their second straight matchup, falling to Deer Lodge at home on Saturday, September 7, in four sets, 25-23, 16-25, 15-25, 16-25. Alecia Steele was again strong with the attack, notching nine kills, while Maia Christopher had five.

Madisyn Hanken was solid behind the line with six digs. Teammates Steele and Amelia Cronk had four.

Cora Matt served up five aces and Steele had four. Matt also had four blocks at the net. Jada Domebo notched six assists, while Amelia Cronk had eight.

Mission fell to 1-2 on the year with the loss.

Mission Falls to Anaconda

Mission dropped their road contest against Anaconda on Thursday, September 5 by a score of 17-25, 23-25, 17-25 despite nine digs and five kills from Alecia Steele.

The Lady Bulldogs were solid at the net as Maia Christoper had six blocks, Kieran Incashola had four, Cora Matt added three, and Steele added to her stat line with two.

Christopher also had four kills, and Matt had two.

On defense, Jada Domebo and E’Liene Peone each had four digs, while four different Lady Bulldog players had aces.

Dishing out passes was Domebo with seven assists, while Amelia Cronk had seven as well.

Lady Bulldogs Down Arlee

Mission got six kills from Maia Christopher and five more from Alecia Steele in a 25-20, 25-15, 25-16 victory in nonleague volleyball action on Tuesday, September 3. The Lady Bulldogs tempered the effects of playing on the road with a balanced attack with multiple players pitching in.

Steele led the team in digs with four, while Amelia Cronk, Maia Christoper, and Kensey Burke each had two digs. Steele was also laser-focused at the service stripe, collecting eight aces, while Cora Matt and Avia Lee had two. Matt also had three kills.

Christopher was also a force at the net with two blocks, while Jada Demebo and Amelia Cronk each had seven assists.
