Joelene Frey, 74
Joelene Marie Frey, 74, of Pablo, passed away peacefully on Sept. 4 at the Hot Springs Health and Rehabilitation Center. Born to Tom and Frankie (Bebee) Smith in 1950, Joelene was raised in Bigfork and dedicated her life to serving others as a nurse throughout Western Montana.
Joelene's unwavering commitment to helping those in need was a testament to her kind spirit and deep faith. As a devoted tribal member, she lived her life with grace and compassion, always finding joy in the simple pleasures of life.
She loved spoiling her dogs, maintaining a pristine yard, and brightening her surroundings with vibrant petunias. Her sense of humor and playful spirit brought light and laughter to those around her, often expressed through her witty comments on the world and political opinions.
She is survived by her two beloved sons, Scott Graham and Tom Morton; her brother, Tom Smith and sister-in-law Vickie Smith; and her cherished nephews, Rick and Brandon Smith. Joelene was a proud grandmother to Cassie Jo Morton, Marlie Graham, Jordan Morton, Ashlyn Rutland and her husband, Luke Rutland, Jenna Morton, Katie Thompson, Anna Thompson, and grandson Matthew Thompson.
Joelene’s family requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to her favorite charity, Samaritan's Purse, in honor of her lifelong dedication to helping others.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, Sept. 14, at 11 a.m. at the Pablo Christian Church in Pablo. A light lunch will follow the service to celebrate Joelene’s remarkable life and legacy.
Joelene will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Her spirit and kindness will forever remain in our hearts. Memories and condolences may be sent to the family at lakefuneralhomeandcremation.com.
