Pirates clip T-Falls-Plains co-op soccer club

The Pirates scored two second-half goals to ice a 3-0 victory over Thompson Falls/St. Regis on Tuesday, Sept. 3, in Thompson Falls. The Pirates, who made the playoffs last season but dropped their season opener, were able to clip the Blue Hawks in the victory.

Polson took a 1-0 lead in the first half and added two more thanks to a balanced attack that saw three players find the back of the net.

Jackson Bontadelli, senior Ted Mausshardt, and Edgar Vejez Pete all had scored for the Pirates, while Roman Sawyer added an assist.

The Polson defense limited Thompson Falls’ chances, allowing just five shots on goal. The victory improved the Pirates to 1-1 on the year, while Thompson Falls/St. Regis fell to 0-1-1.
