Vikings football falls to St. Regis

Charlo football fell to St. Regis 54-12 in 8-man football action on Friday, September 7, on the Tigers’ home field. The Vikings scored two late touchdowns in the league matchup, which saw Charlo drop to 0-2 on the year.

Karson Cox finished with 29 rush yards and 120 pass yards, while Cage Salmelin had three catches for 82 yards, including a 71-yard touchdown pass from Cox.

Tasker Brown had five tackles and three assisted tackles, while Cox had five tackles on defense.

Earlier on August 31, the Vikings fell to Seeley-Swan 66-6. In the matchup, Cox had 55 pass yards and 23 rush yards. Brown scored for Charlo on a 21-yard touchdown pass from Cox and would finish with four catches for 34 yards.

Kenyan DuMont had a 51-yard kickoff return against Seeley Swan. Cox was the game’s top defender for the Vikings, with four tackles. 

Arlee opens season 1-1

Arlee football opened up the season with a 54-14 victory over Lodge Grass on Thursday, Aug. 29, with the Warriors posting 240 rushing yards and 60 passing yards.

Valley Christian defeated Arlee 28-8 on Saturday, Sept. 7, dropping the Warriors to 1-1 on the year.
