Pirates soccer falls to Hamilton

Hamilton scored two first-half goals en route to a 2-1 victory over Polson in Southwest A Conference action on Tuesday, September 10.

The Pirates got on the board first, with Ted Mausshardt finding the back of the net thanks to an Edgar Vejez-Pete assist in the ninth minute. Hamilton, however, scored three minutes later and then notched the go-ahead goal in the 17th minute.

Polson finished with 22 shots and 16 on goal, while Hamilton had 40 shots and 17 on goal. Maddox Bird and Zephyr Sternick combined to pick up 13 saves from the goalkeeper position.

Hamilton also had eight corner kicks, while Polson had two corner kicks.

Polson fell to 1-2 with the loss.
