Polson runs past Butte Central
Polson fended off a comeback from Butte Central for a 21-13 victory on Friday, September 23. Pirate quarterback Holden Emerson rushed for 82 yards and two touchdowns while passing for 133 and another score.
In the first quarter, Emerson ran the ball in from the one-yard line and then three a 58-yard touchdown pass to Cody Haggard. Emerson ran it in from the goalline again in the second quarter for the 21-0 halftime lead.
In the second half, Butte Central missed a 30-yard field goal but then scored a touchdown on a three-yard run and a 37-yard touchdown pass.
