MAC softball dominates Deer Lodge in shutout win
Mission-Arlee-Charlo softball continued its dominant start to the 2025 season with a 15-0 shutout victory over Deer Lodge on Tuesday, March 25, at home. The win improves the MAC Lady Bulldogs to 2-0 on the year.
MAC wasted no time jumping on the Lady Wardens, putting up seven runs in the bottom of the first inning and tacking on eight more in the second to end the contest early via the mercy rule. The Bulldogs pounded out 10 hits and took advantage of Deer Lodge’s defensive miscues and walks to pile up runs quickly.
Senior slugger Maia Christopher led the offensive barrage, going 2-for-2 with a home run and a double. She also scored three runs and drove in three. Avia Lee added a triple and finished 2-for-3 with two RBIs.
Kieran Inchashola was a perfect 2-for-2 at the plate with a double and two runs scored, while Kensey Burke matched that effort with a 2-for-2 performance of her own.
Amelia Cronk and Maizey McDonald each added a hit.
The only thing more impressive than the Bulldogs' offense was their pitching. Sophomore Jada Domebo was untouchable in the circle, tossing three perfect innings. She faced the minimum over three frames, striking out five batters while allowing no hits, no walks and no runs.
Defensively, MAC was spotless, committing no errors in the field and backing up their pitcher with crisp play.
