Polson athletes made their presence felt across a wide range of events at the Hamilton Bronc Invite on Friday, April 4, with strong showings in the sprints, throws, distance races, and relays.

Polson senior Astin Brown had a standout day in the throws, claiming first place in the shot put with a powerful throw of 58 feet, 9 inches. Brown also placed third in the discus with a mark of 155’6”.

In the distance races, sophomore Morgan Delaney once again proved to be a force, taking first in the 3200 meters with a season-best 11:34.32. She also finished second in the 1600 meters (5:19.63), leading a deep Polson girls distance crew. In the 4x400 relay, the Polson girls — Keira Owen, Rosie Lies, Amelia Stene, and Kellyn Nelson — placed third with a personal-best time of 4:22.33. Nelson also scored in the 300-meter hurdles with an eighth-place finish.
