Navigating the Road to Life Transition Fair – 8:30 a.m.- 2 p.m. April 17 at the Polson Boys and Girls Club; this is an opportunity for students, parents, and community members to have a face-to-face visit with representatives of disability agencies that may serve them. Book Donation Day – 9 a.m.- 6 p.m. April 17 at the North Lake County Public Library; there's a limit of two boxes of material donations a time. Please refer to the Material Donation Policy on the library's website for more information.

Pheasant Forever Banquet – 5 p.m. April 19 at the Ronan Community Center; the 36th annual banquet will include cocktails, dinner and fun, all in the name of supporting Mission Valley habitat improvement projects. For more information and to purchase tickets go to pheasantsforever.org.

Mission Valley Conservation Speaker Series – 6 p.m. April 23 at Ninepipes Lodge south of Ronan; free informational event is titled "SKQ Dam: EKI’s Stewardship of Flathead Lake ans the Lower Flathead River." For more information email LakeCD@macdnet.org.

Music in the Missions – 6:30 p.m. April 23 at the Ronan Performing Arts Center: Polson and Ronan High Schools and Middle School music students perform during this event sponsored by Kiwanis Club. A cash donation or a can of food per person for the local food banks is requested for admission.

The Cowboy Ball – 5 p.m. April 25 at the Polson Fairgrounds under the big tent; the 33rd annual fundraiser will include no-host cocktails, silent auction, prime-rib dinner, live auction and dancing to music by Sho Down. Tickets are $85 each and available at 219 Main and Wild Horse Framing in Polson, Muley Bluz in Ronan, from PFI board members, and at Mountain Meadows Resort at Lake Mary Ronan. Car Seat Safety Check – 11 a.m.-3 p.m. April 27th at the St. Ignatius Volunteer Fire Hall; Certified Child Safety Seat Technicians will be present to look over child safety seats and answer questions for those who have them. There will also be refreshments and first responders with their vehicles to answer questions. 

Black Powder Range Days – April 26 as well as May 10 at the Fort Connah Black Powder Range north of St. Ignatius; all proceeds go to Fort Connah's student art history outreach program. For more information call Mark at 406-381-3872 or Bob at 406-210-9824. 

Queen Elizabeth I Time Travels to Montana – 2:30 p.m.-3:30 p.m. April 30, at the North Lake County Public Library. Leslie Van Stavern Millar III dresses in period costume and brings a selection of her three-dimensional sci-fi alternative history art works and the Montana Peepshow Story Boxes that depict stories of Montana history from the perspective of the time-travelling monarch.

Monochromatic Moods – through May 2 at Sandpiper Art Gallery and Gifts in Polson; this members-only art show celebrates the artistry and design expertise revealed when artists work with a single color. Artists explore the depths of emotion and meaning through various shades and hues – whether it’s the tranquility of blue, the jealousy of green, the sweetness of baby pink, or the fiery passion of red. Monte Carlo Night – 5 p.m.-11 p.m. May 3 at the Ronan Community Center; go back in time to the glamour of the 1920s and experience the thrill and fun of Monte Carlo with poker, plink, wheel of fortune and more. Arts & Crafts in Polson – 1-4 p.m. Wednesdays at Summit Independent Living, 3 Ninth Ave. West, Suite 1 in Polson; join CSKT elder Tammie Miller for an afternoon of crafting, companionship and snacks. Cheerful Heart Cancer Support Group – noon-1 p.m. on the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month at the Church of the Nazarene in Pablo; church pastor Matthew Connolly leads the group, which welcomes those recently diagnosed or undergoing treatment, cancer survivors, and/or family members. Open Mic and Jam – 7 p.m. Fridays at the Western Montana Musicians Co-op, Ronan; also on tap is a weekly Community Jam at 7 p.m. Saturdays and a drum circle from 7-9 p.m. on the third Wednesday of each month.
