Susan Howlett, 69
Susan Marie Howlett, age 69 of Polson, a real-life shining star, with a heart as big as the ocean and enough love for everyone, has finished her grand adventure of this life – firm in her faith, and happy with a life well-lived.
She passed away at home April 6 with her children by her side, after a hard-fought battle with lung cancer. She was born Nov. 29, 1955, in Chehalis, Wash., to Frederick and Myrna (Bond) Warnock.
If you knew her, you know she was a "no fuss" type of lady as well as headstrong. She did allow her friends and family to have a "small party if we had to," however, no services or viewings, as she was adamant about that.
This woman had the quirkiest sense of humor and infectious laugh. She was also mother to all, one of the kindest, gentlest, loving, and most caring persons that the world may have been gifted with, as well – making it better because she was in it. We all could truly benefit from taking a page from her book of life in love.
She is preceded in death by her father, Frederick Warnock, mother Myrna (Bond) Warnock, her husband, Glenn Howlett, and her sister, Jeannie Cook.
She is survived by her brothers, Greg Warnock and John (Tonna) Warnock; her children, Rocky (Brandi) Howlett, and Angel and Alan Howlett; her three grandchildren, Braeden and Abbey Howlett and Emily Castlio, whom she adored and cherished; as well as a great many family members, extended family and friends.
There will be a celebration of life when all family members can make it back to Montana, with an ETA of this summer and location to be announced. The family asks in lieu of donations or flowers, to honor Sue's beautiful life, and that you simply love a little more, a little better, and to a little more out there.
