Michael Erickson, 54
Michael Dwayne Erickson passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones on Tuesday, June 24, 2025.
Mike was born Aug. 31, 1971, to Yvonne Anderson and Dale Erickson. He graduated from Polson High School in 1989 and went to build a career in drywall, working alongside his brother, Fordyce Erickson, and nephew, Chris Kirwan, for many years.
Michael was the youngest of 10 children, including his sister and best friend Tammie.
Mike was a loving father to his three children, Troy, Brady and Amanda, and a proud grandpa to his grandchildren, Briella, Lillyan and Violette.
He was everyone’s favorite uncle and was known as “Uncle Mike” to many, regardless of if he was their uncle or not. He had many nieces and nephews that he loved as his own and was always there for them. He will be missed by many.
Family was the most important thing in his life. The Fourth of July was his favorite holiday, and he enjoyed his backyard BBQs with family and friends. In his free time, he loved camping, hunting, fishing, shed hunting and cutting firewood with his nephew, Chirs, and friends.
In his younger years, Mike participated in demolition derbies and loved four-wheeling and dirt bikes. He was always the life of the party and loved by everyone, it didn’t matter if they knew him for an hour or their entire life.
Michael is preceded in death by his father, Dale Erickson, stepfather Gordie Anderson, sister-in-law LaRese Erickson, niece Amanda Farley, and beloved family dog Austin.
He is survived by his mother, Yvonne Anderson; children Troy, Brady and Amanda; granddaughters Briella, Lillyan and Violette; his siblings, Tammie, Fordyce, Alan, Kathy, Sheryl, Eline, Debbie, Carla and Rhonda; many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, July 26, at 2 p.m. at the Valley View Clubhouse.
