Polson Seniors: Happy Independence Day
Happy Independence Day! Down with the King! We are closed the Fourth of July.
AARP Safe Driving Course is coming up. We have about a dozen more openings. Call us.
Activities at the Polson center, open to all, include: self-guided, video-assisted exercise, 10:30-11:30 a.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays (move it or lose it!); bingo at 6 p.m. Fridays (closed July 4), with playing card bingo July 9 and 23 this month.
Pinochle is now offered two days a week: 12:15-3 p.m. Mondays and Thursdays; and the pool table is open for play 8 a.m.-3 p.m. weekdays.
Invite a foursome for Wednesday Play Day to play cards, board games, dominos, mahjong, etc.
Bowling “no-tap” is Tuesdays, 1-3 p.m. Join any time.
A veteran’s service officer visits the center on the first Friday (no visit July 4) and third Tuesday of each month.
Sit-down meals are available from 11:45 a.m.-12:30 p.m. weekdays, and delivered to qualified people who call before 10 a.m. A suggested donation of $5 helps support the nutrition program.
The menu includes: hamburgers with patriotic fixings, Thursday, July 3; chicken noodle soup, Monday, July 7; hamburger, Tuesday, July 8; Cobb salad, Wednesday, July 9; meatloaf, Thursday, July 10; and turkey wraps, Friday, July 11.
