Ronan church hosts revival meetings
Morning Star Baptist Church of Ronan will host special revival services July 11-13 with evangelist John Van Gelderen of Ann Arbor, Mich. Services begin at 6:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday evenings and 10:45 a.m. and 5 p.m. Sunday, and will be held at North Crow Clubhouse, 44027 N. Foothills Dr., Friday and Sunday, and at the Ronan Community Center on Saturday evening.
According to Pastor Ayron Stellmach, the gatherings offer “Bible-centered preaching and soul-stirring music.”
Van Gelderen received bachelor’s (1984), master’s (1987), and doctoral (2008) degrees from Bob Jones University of Greenville, S.C. After a two-year pastoral internship at Hampton Park Baptist Church in Greenville, he began a five-year ministry and led outreach ministries as an assistant to his father, Dr. Wayne Van Gelderen Sr., in Downers Grove, Ill., before beginning a full-time career in evangelism in January 1992.
As an extension of his ministry, he cofounded and serves as president of Revival Focus Ministries. He is also the author of various books, tracts, training materials and songs. His wife, Mary Lynn, is an accomplished pianist and vocalist who is actively involved in the meetings.
