Arlee Schools receive grant for school gardens

The Arlee School District was among 22 Montana projects that recently received community grants from the Montana Farmers Union Foundation. The award of $2,000 will be used to purchase equipment for school gardens.

Beginning in 2022, the foundation has awarded and leveraged more than $60,000 for projects in rural communities.

This year, the foundation awarded an additional $43,146 and leveraged another $4,600 from MFU Locals to support a wide range of projects that include installing hydroponic gardens, teaching kids to cook, equipment purchases for classes about cooking and food production and meat processing shop conversion projects.
