St. Ignatius Seniors: Elder scam class on Wednesday

The Montana Department of Justice is holding a class on “Elder Scam and Exploitation Self Defense” Wednesday, June 11, from 1-2:30 p.m., at the First Christian Church of St. Ignatius located at 217 North Main St.. Light snacks will be provided. 

The Elder Justice prosecutor and investigator will speak on: learning how to spot and avoid falling victim to telephone and internet scams; financial exploitation of Montana’s elders; and what to do if you or someone falls victim to a scam or is exploited. All are welcome to attend!

The Mission Valley Food Pantry in St Ignatius (203 Blaine Street) is open Tuesdays and Fridays from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. except on the last Saturday of the month instead of that Friday. It serves St Ignatius, Dixon and Arlee. Questions? Call 406-745-5484.

Main dishes served at the center include: turkey sandwiches, Friday, June 6; sloppy Joes, Tuesday, June 10; and chicken with potatoes and gravy, Friday, June 13.

If you would like a take-out meal, please call 406-745-4462 by 10 a.m. on Tuesday and Friday and by 2 p.m. on Wednesdays. Menus for the month are available in the entryway of the center and everyone is welcome (young and old). Come enjoy a delicious meal and good conversation.
