Ninepipes Museum opens April 3 for season
Ninepipes Museum of Early Montana, located south of Ronan on Hwy. 93, reopens to the public April 3, and celebrates the season with a Spring Community Open House, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. April 5.
The event includes free admission to the museum, live music by Saint of Soldiers, a history chat with Bob Bigart, Bud Cheff and members of the newly former Montana History Buffs, refreshments and door prizes.
“If you haven’t brought your family through the museum, this is the perfect time,” says executive director Jo Cheff.
The museum has also scheduled its annual Heritage Keeper benefit for May 18. The ticketed fundraiser includes food, drink, music, historical entertainment, a raffle and auction. The Montana ShamRockers will share the colorful story of Irish patriot, Civil War general and acting territorial governor Thomas Francis Meagher as part of festivities.
First Saturday Artists Events resume in July and showcase local artists and crafters, writers and musicians, July 5, Aug. 2, and Sept. 6.
Museum hours are 10 a.m.-5 p.m., Thursday through Sunday. For more information, call 406.644.3435 or visit www.ninepipesmuseum.org.
