Dalton Daniel Hall, 26, pled guilty to felony strangulation of a partner or family member during an earlier court appearance.

According to court records, on Sept. 30, 2024, a woman identified only by the initials K.H. called law enforcement to report being the victim of a domestic disturbance. An officer spoke with K.H. who stated that she had confronted Hall, whom she had recently married, about doing drugs in their home.

She said that turned into a verbal argument before Hall allegedly grabbed her by the throat with his hands. The responding officer observed marks on K.H.’s neck and face consistent with her story.

She indicated Hall had done this to her four or five other times, and on one occasion she indicated that Hall picked her up off the ground by her neck.

Judge John A. Mercer gave Hall credit for having already served 14 days in jail. As Hall exited the courtroom he was immediately arrested for violating an order of protection involving a separate victim, after he was seen yelling at the woman outside the courthouse earlier that morning.
