The Mission-Arlee-Charlo (MAC) softball team continued its impressive season with a dominant three-game stretch last week, picking up two wins over Eureka and holding off Troy in a high-scoring contest. The victories improved MAC’s record to 11-2 overall.

MAC opened the week on Tuesday, April 22, with a commanding 12-0 road win over Eureka. Behind a sharp performance from pitcher Jada Domebo, the Bulldogs controlled the game from start to finish. Domebo threw a complete game shutout, allowing just two hits while striking out four and walking only one.

At the plate, MAC pounded out 14 hits and took advantage of Eureka’s seven errors. Maia Christopher had a big day, going 3-for-4 with a triple and an RBI. GG Hawk added a 2-for-5 performance with a triple and three RBIs, while Alecia Steele went 2-for-3 with a double and two runs driven in. Avia Lee also contributed a 2-for-5 day with two RBIs.

MAC broke the game open late, scoring six runs in the sixth and five more in the seventh to seal the win. Maddy Hanken went 3-for-5 with two RBI.

Two days later, MAC hosted Eureka for a rematch in St. Ignatius and once again made quick work of the Lions, winning 18-3 in just three innings. The Bulldogs scored four runs in the first inning, erupted for 10 runs in the second, and tacked on four more in the third.

MAC racked up 17 hits in the shortened game. Hawk stayed hot, going 3-for-4 with four RBIs. Domebo was a perfect 3-for-3 at the plate, while Christopher belted a home run and finished with three RBIs. Lee added a triple and drove in three runs, while Maddy Hanken continued her strong week with a 3-for-3 performance and three RBIs.

Kieran Incashola got the start and was nearly untouchable, striking out four over two hitless innings. Bella Ellison pitched the third, allowing three hits and three runs.

Closing the week, MAC faced a tougher challenge against Troy on Saturday but came through with an 11-8 win at home.

Troy jumped ahead early with a run in the first, but MAC answered back with two runs in the second. After the Trojans took the lead, MAC broke loose for a seven-run fifth inning to take control. Troy made a push with three runs in the sixth, but the Bulldogs’ offense had built enough of a cushion.

Christopher once again led the way at the plate, going 3-for-5 with two RBIs. Lee had a strong game, finishing 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI. Incashola delivered one of the game's biggest hits, launching a home run as part of a 2-for-3 day with two RBIs. Hanken and Cronk each added two hits and two RBIs to help fuel the offense.

Domebo pitched all seven innings for MAC, battling through 15 hits and striking out five while allowing seven earned runs. The Bulldogs’ defense committed two errors, but MAC did enough at the plate to withstand Troy’s late rally.
