LAKE COUNTY JOINT AIRPORT BOARD MEMBERS NEEDED The Lake County Commissioners are seeking letters of interest to serve on the Lake County Joint Airport Board. This Board pays the bills of the three airports in Lake County and directs the fixed base operators for the airports and plans for the future of the airports. Meetings are held once a month on the second Thursday of the month at 7:00 p.m. at the Ronan Airport. The Board of Commissioners will accept letters of interest to serve on this Board until May 27, 2025. Letters should be addressed to the Commissioners at 106 4th Ave. East, Polson, MT 59860. NOTICE FOR PUBLIC HEARING LAKE COUNTY HEARING TO ASSESS AND PRIORITIZE NEEDS The Lake County Commissioners will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, May 20 at 2:00 PM in the Commissioner’s Meeting Room at 106 4th Avenue East, Polson, MT 59860. The purpose of this hearing is to obtain public comments regarding what they perceive as the priority needs to be addressed by the County for public facilities, infrastructure, affordable housing, economic development and other community revitalization efforts. For municipalities and/or sewer/water districts, and organizations considering applications for funding to the Montana Community Development Block Grant Program (CDBG), which provides funding for projects serving predominantly low-moderate income persons, this hearing may serve as the required “first public hearing” as needed to assess and document local project needs. Those considering such projects are encouraged to attend as the County is the required applicant for unincorporated towns and districts. Copies of minutes will be provided for documentation. The Information gathered will also be used by the County’s regional community and economic development partner, Mission West Community Development Partnership (MWCDP), formerly Lake County Community Development, in their efforts to record the needs as voiced by the public for input into its regional 5-year Economic Development Strategic Plan. Information will be provided on how to access various funding programs which may be available for public facilities, infrastructure, affordable/attainable housing and economic/business development, etc.. At the public hearing, everyone will be given the opportunity to express their opinions regarding Lake County’s needs and the types of projects that should be considered and supported by the Commission. Comments may be given orally at the hearing or submitted in writing to Lake County Commissioners, 106 4th Avenue East, Polson, MT 59860 or by email to lakecommissioners@lakemt.gov. Written, specific project requests should be submitted no later than May 19 at 5:00 PM to be entered into the public record.
