WHEREAS, the Lake County Commission is considering adopting a resolution ofthe following terms: 1. Each person, firm, or corporation must, prior to beginning any development of any kind of real property located within the exterior boundaries of Lake County, wherever situate, shall file an appropriate Countywide Notice of New Construction with Lake County Planning, substantially in conformance with Exhibit A here to, of such proposed development, and receive an Acknowledgement of such filing; and, 2. “New construction” that requires the developer to file its Notice of New Construction for any of the following improvements, as defined at Section15-1-101(1) (j), MCA, as follows: a. All buildings, structures, fences, and improvements situated upon, erected upon, or affixed to land, including a mobile home, manufactured home, or housetrailer has been established, the mobile home, manufactured home, or house trailer is presumed to be an improvement to real property, where such mobile home, manufactured home, or housetrailer when it is attached to a foundation that cannot feasibly be relocated and only when the wheels are removed. 3. The fee for filing such request for Acknowledgement shall be five dollars ($5.00), in addition to any notary fee; and, 4. The fee for filing such request for Acknowledgment after development, however minor, has already begun shall be one thousand dollars ($1,000.00);and, 5. NOTICE FOR PUBLIC HEARING LAKE COUNTY HEARING TO ASSESS AND PRIORITIZE NEEDS The Lake County Commissioners will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, May 20 at 2:00 PM in the Commissioner’s Meeting Room at 106 4th Avenue East, Polson, MT 59860. The purpose of this hearing is to obtain public comments regarding what they perceive as the priority needs to be addressed by the County for public facilities, infrastructure, affordable housing, economic development and other community revitalization efforts. For municipalities and/or sewer/water districts, and organizations considering applications for funding to the Montana Community Development Block Grant Program (CDBG), which provides funding for projects serving predominantly low-moderate income persons, this hearing may serve as the required “first public hearing” as needed to assess and document local project needs. Those considering such projects are encouraged to attend as the County is the required applicant for unincorporated towns and districts. Copies of minutes will be provided for documentation.
