The Mission-Arlee-Charlo baseball team suffered its third consecutive loss Tuesday, falling 11-4 to visiting Stevensville in St. Ignatius.

The Bulldogs started strong, jumping out to a 3-2 lead after the first inning thanks to timely hits from Jake Helser and. Helser finished the game 2-for-3 with an RBI, while Lovejoy went 1-for-4 and drove in two.

However, MAC's offense stalled after the first two innings, and Stevensville gradually pulled away, scoring in every inning but the second.

Vinny Sheppard got the start on the mound for MAC, striking out seven in three and a third innings but allowing six earned runs on four hits and five walks. Helser came on in relief and gave up four more runs, three earned, in two and two-thirds innings. Jason Leishman pitched the seventh, surrendering one run.

Kyle Hammond added a single and a run scored for MAC, while the team managed just four hits on the day. Defensively, the Bulldogs committed two errors, while Stevensville had three.
