The board of directors meeting is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. on the second Friday of each month. The meetings are open to the public. You have a voice; your opinion is welcome and respected.

We are entering the third quarter of our fiscal year and are looking for volunteers to serve in leadership positions. Can you help us?

Thanks to those who come to lunch and help with pouring beverages, refilling beverages, and assisting those who are not so steady with their meal trays.

Our fiscal year is now in the fourth quarter, and it is projected that we will meet and exceed our budget expectations. Thank you all for your continued support for our community center. We are fully committed to our mission to providing physical, educational and social support to our community of seniors. We rely on the government for their continued support of the needs of the elderly in our community, state and nation.

Bowling “no-tap” is Tuesdays, 1-3 p.m. Join any time.

Activities at the Polson center, open to all, include self-guided, video-assisted exercise, 10:30-11:30 a.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays (move it or lose it!); bingo at 6 p.m. Fridays, with playing card bingo on the first Wednesday of each month.

Pinochle is now offered two days a week: 12:15-3 p.m. Mondays or Thursdays; and the pool table is open for play 8 a.m.-3 p.m. weekdays.

Invite a foursome for Wednesday Play Day to play cards, board games, dominos, mahjong, etc.

A veteran’s service officer visits the center on the first Friday and third Tuesday of each month.

Sit-down meals are available from 11:45 a.m.-12:30 p.m. weekdays, and delivered to qualified people who call before 10 a.m. A suggested donation of $5 helps support the nutrition program.

Upcoming main dishes include: BBQ chicken, Thursday, May 8; hashbrown bake, Friday, May 9; tomato soup, Monday, May 12; burger stroganoff, Tuesday, May 13; chicken salad, Wednesday, May 14; and beef enchiladas, Thursday, May 15.

Our community center is open from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays at 504 Third Ave. E. For more information, call 406-883-4735, email polsonseniorcenter@gmail.com or visit us on Facebook.
