Sentinel Spartans overwhelm MAC Bulldogs

The MAC Bulldogs fell to 1-10 on the season after a difficult outing against the Sentinel Spartans on Wednesday, May 7, suffering a 12-1 loss at home.

Sentinel’s offense ignited early and never let up, scoring three runs in both the second and third innings before adding six more in the fifth to secure the mercy-rule victory. The Spartans collected 12 hits in the game and capitalized on six walks and five errors committed by the Bulldogs.

MAC managed just four hits, including singles from Brody Smith, Vincent Shepard, Chayton Bartell and Sage Assiniboine. The Bulldogs’ lone run came in the fifth inning.

MAC used three pitchers in the contest, with Jake Helser taking the loss after allowing six unearned runs on nine hits over four innings.
