The Eureka Lions used a fast start and a pair of big innings to hand the Ronan Chiefs a 14-4 loss in their final game of the season Tuesday evening.

Eureka plated five runs in the top of the first and never looked back, adding four in the fourth and five more in the fifth to put the game out of reach. Ronan battled back with a run in the second inning and three runs in the second but couldn't keep pace with the Lions' steady offense.

Liam Jackson led the Chiefs at the plate, going 2-for-3 with a triple to spark the offense. Lucas Johnston added an RBI and a hit, while Ben Mitchell, Treysin Sinclair, and Hunter Luedtke each contributed hits as well.

On the mound, Luedtke started for Ronan and worked into the fourth inning, allowing seven hits and nine runs—only two of which were earned—while striking out three. Jackson came on in relief and gave up five runs over the final inning.

Defensively, the Chiefs struggled to keep Eureka off the bases, committing six errors that led to multiple unearned runs and extended innings.

With the loss, Ronan ends its season at 6-10-1.
