Women 4 Wellness – 10 a.m.-3 p.m. May 22 at at Salish and Kootenai College in the Joe Mcdonald Health and Fitness Center; Women 4 Wellness strives to increase health awareness and healthy behaviors among women of the Flathead Indian Reservation and Lake County by bringing together service providers and other organizations at a single location. The event focuses on health education and disease prevention by offering free or low-cost health screenings and information designed specifically for women. Glacier Bank After-Tax Shred Day – 9 a.m.-1 p.m. May 23 at Glacier Bank in Polson; help protect yourself from identity theft with a mobile shred truck on site. Limit per person is two boxes.  

Ronan Band Concert: Out to Lunch – 11 a.m. May 28 at the Ronan Middle School parking lot; bring a lawn chair and your lunch and enjoy sunshine and pop music by students in grades 6-12 .

"Fatal Attraction for an Imperiled Songbird: Is Cropland in the northern Great Plains an Ecological Trap for the Thick-billed Longspur?” – 7 p.m. May 29 in the Polson Library Meeting Room; Amber Swicegood, a wildlife biologist for the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes, presents Mission Mountain Audubon's free community program. 

Pirate Bay Scramble – 9:30 a.m. June 1 at the Polson Bay Golf Course; inaugural event is an opportunity for businesses to reach hundreds of community members while supporting Pirate athletes. 

Pollinator Initiative and Impact of Pesticides on Our Watershed – 2-4 p.m. June 3 at the North Lake County Library in Polson;  the Lake County Conservation District shares insights.

Russell Rowland Book Signing & Discussion – 5:30 p.m. June 9 at the North Lake County Library; Montana author reads from and signs his latest book, "Be a Man: Raised in the Shadow of Cowboys.”

Chainsaw Carving Rendezvous – 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Thursday-Saturday and 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Sunday, June 5-8, at the Lake County Fairgrounds in Ronan; highlights include an auction at 6 p.m. Friday and the main auction at 1 p.m. Sunday. World-class carvers, artisans and food vendors will be on hand. Yoga by the Lake – 6 p.m. Monday and Thursday this summer at Sacajawea Park under the cottonwood trees; these yoga classes will have something for everyone, whether participants are very familiar with yoga or are new to the mat. Classes are $10 drop-in with multiple payment options.

Cheerful Heart Cancer Support Group – noon-1 p.m. on the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month at the Church of the Nazarene in Pablo; church pastor Matthew Connolly leads the group, which welcomes those recently diagnosed or undergoing treatment, cancer survivors, and/or family members.
