The Polson Pirates wrapped up a successful 2025 baseball season with a series of mixed results at the Sapa-Johnsrud Tournament in Whitefish, finishing with a 14-7 overall record but falling short of a state tournament berth.

Polson opened the week with a dominant 16-0 shutout over Thompson Falls on Tuesday, May 13. Cody Haggard turned in a gem on the mound, throwing a complete-game no-hitter over five innings with eight strikeouts and no walks. Offensively, Haggard also shined at the plate, going 3-for-4 with a home run and two RBIs. Landon Pablo went 3-for-4 and drove in four runs, while Cole and Wyatt Wadsworth, Maddox Bird, Carson Emerson, and Noah Agliano all contributed to the 12-hit onslaught. The Pirates scored early and often, plating runs in all but one inning.

Polson carried that momentum into the first game of the tournament on Friday, May 16, dispatching Eureka 12-2 in six innings. Holden Emerson led the offense with a 2-for-2 performance and three RBIs, while Ama Oldshoes also went 2-for-2. Brayson DuMont drove in two runs, and Courville added two RBIs of his own. Landon Pablo pitched the first three innings, allowing two unearned runs on three hits, while Carson Emerson came in for nearly three scoreless frames in relief.
