DOJ prosecutor to discuss elder scams

The Department of Justice’s elder justice prosecutor and investigator will visit St. Ignatius June 11 to discuss elder scam’s and exploitation. The presentation is from 1-2:30 p.m. at the First Christian Church, 217 North Main St.

Topics include:

• How to spot and avoid common telephone and internet scams

• Financial exploitation of Montana’s elders

• How to respond if you or someone you know may have been scammed or exploited

• Questions and concerns from the audience

Light snacks will be served.

The presentation is hosted by Chief Jason Acheson, St. Ignatius Police Department, and Pastor Nic Campbell, First Christian Church.
