Leo Dean Howell, 82

Leo Dean Howell, 82, of Bellows Falls, Vt., passed away May 10, 2025, after a tragic accident at his home.

Leo was born Nov. 16, 1942, in St. Ignatius. He grew up in Polson, graduating from Polson High in 1961, and then attended Brigham Young University for a year and a half.

Leo and his twin brother, Pete, moved to Pennsylvania to be trained in chicken sexing by their Uncle Lewis. Leo spent his career working at Hubbard Farms in New Hampshire.

On June 11, 1966, Leo married Barbara Griffin. They had one daughter, Heather. Leo was a member of the Elks, enjoyed golf and taking beautiful walks with Barbara. He and Barbara loved taking trips back to Montana to see family and enjoy time on the Flathead.

Leo is survived by his wife, Barbara, daughter Heather and grandson Finn. He is also survived by his sister, Peggy Pick, twin brother Pete (Cindy) and brother Mike (Karen), as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services and burial were held in Bellows Falls.
